Alleged Valley spitter faces charge of attempted murder

A Wasilla man has been charged with attempted murder after spitting on a hospital worker, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Andre L. LaFrance, 29, "intentionally transferred a dangerous bodily fluid onto a hospital employee," troopers said.
Troopers were alerted around 11 a.m. Monday to the incident at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
They consulted with prosecutors and LaFrance was charged with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree harassment. He was arrested and taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters said LaFrance is accused of knowing he was infected with something dangerous and then spitting on the worker. She said any more information would need to come out of the charging documents filed in Palmer.
