According to reports, someone has finally put their foot down about Amanda Bynes' antics. The former child star has exhibited a string ofquestionable behavior over the past several months, but police finally hospitalized her on a 5150 hold after she started a fire in a California resident's driveway.
TMZ reports Bynes set the small blaze in a driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The local fire department was the first to respond, and then they called the sheriff's department once they found Bynes.
Based on the sheriff deputies' evaluations, Bynes was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in a hospital so she could receive a mental evaluation. She can only be held against her will for 72 hours, but hopefully this is a step in the right direction for Bynes getting healthy.
Earlier in the night Bynes had been turned away at a retirement community for reportedly being too drunk and trespassing.TMZ reports that Bynes was there to see a relative, and that a cab was called to take her away from the community. When the taxi arrived, Bynes said she had no money and so she was kicked out. Cops were called when Bynes was seen walking back towards the community. Stay tuned to Zap2it for more information as it develops.
